To celebrate the Lunar New Year, the Portland Chinatown Museum and the Oregon Historical Society present the fourth annual Lunar New Year Parade from Chinatown to the Oregon Historical Society. Visit the Portland Chinatown Museum for free starting at 9am. Then, join us in front of the museum at the start of the parade route for fireworks and lion dances, and follow the parade featuring a 100-foot dragon and lions through downtown Portland to its conclusion at the Oregon Historical Society. Performances to follow at the Oregon Historical Society.

In Case of Rain
Because the Dragon cannot get wet, in the event of rain there will be a shortened parade in Chinatown at 11:30am with lion dance performances. The parade route on SW streets to the Oregon Historical Society will be cancelled. Instead, the program and performances will commence in our pavilion at approximately 1:00pm.
