Kathleen works in OHS’ museum vault, cataloguing and rehousing museum objects. Before joining OHS in 2016, she was a freelance registrar and textiles specialist, managing internationally touring collections, and regularly consulting on the management and care of textile objects throughout the state. In addition to working at the Oregon Military Museum and the Benton County Historical Society, she has been an Oregon Heritage Commission Mentor since the program’s inception in 2012, served on the boards for the Oregon Museums Association and the Registrars Committee – Western Region, developed resources pertaining to the care of textile objects for the Oregon Heritage Commission, and taught for two local universities. She holds a B.S. in merchandising management and an M.A. in Fashion and Textile Studies: History, Theory, Museum Practice with a focus on textile conservation.
