Helen is the OHS Curator of Collections, and she primarily works in the storage warehouse cataloging and housing the museum’s vast and varied artifact collection. Helen is originally from the U.K. where she graduated from the University of Manchester with a B.A. in American studies and then earned an M.A. in heritage studies from Nottingham Trent University. She began her museum career working in the footwear collection at the Northampton Museum in the U.K, where she developed an enduring love of shoes. Helen is currently on the board of Registrar’s Committee – Western Region and feels very lucky to be living in this part of the world. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, especially historic reproductions, and hiking in the Pacific Northwest’s spectacular landscapes.
