The Oregon Historical Society has teamed up with the University Club who will host members one Tuesday a month (with some exceptions). For a summer change of pace, we're reading a mystery: Worthy Brown's Daughter by Phillip Margolin. Margolin was inspired by an article in the Oregon Historical Quarterly which detailed the case of Holmes v. Ford.

Book Club members who want to read the nonfiction account, see Breaking Chains: Slavery on Trial in the Oregon Territory, R. Gregory Nokes.

Please email molly.cochran@ohs.org or call 503-306-5237 to RSVP and learn location details.

Note: In most cases, the authors are not present for Book Club discussions.
