Win a $10,000 Scholarship
An exhibit titled A House Divided, Lincoln: In His Own Words will be on display at the Oregon Historical Society from December 12, 2007 until April 27, 2008. A visit to this exhibit will give you the opportunity to experience Abraham Lincoln, the president, the war-time leader, and the humanitarian who literally changed the future of our nation through his own words. A House Divided features rarely seen artifacts, photos, and manuscripts written by Lincoln that shed light on his presidency, the Emancipation Proclamation, and his assassination.

In conjunction with this exhibit, The Oregon Historical Society is pleased to announce the opportunity for all high school juniors in the state of Oregon to participate in a college scholarship competition. The winner of this competition will receive a scholarship of $10,000 to be used for tuition at an institution of higher education. The topic to be addressed in this contest is:
 
The 2008 Lincoln Scholarship competition is now closed.

Submissions are being judged, and the winner will be announced by May 31, 2008.
