The Oregon Historical Society has an active volunteer Board of Trustees which oversees the general operations of the Society. In addition, OHS has recently formed a secondary ambassador board, called The Cabinet, which is a group of young leaders with a passion for history and a shared goal to increase awareness of OHS among younger, more diverse audiences.

Pete Mark: In Memoriam

For more than six decades, Pete Mark played a central role in shaping Portland, and in recent years, his personal passion for history has also transformed the Oregon Historical Society. Beginning in 2013, five extraordinary exhibitions featuring Pete’s collection of iconic and remarkable historic documents and artifacts have brought American presidential history to life for tens of thousands of Oregonians.
